How to Enable JavaScript

JavaScript is disabled

Chrome browser

Chrome doesn’t have an enable/disable JavaScript option – it’s enabled by default. JavaScript can, however, be manually deactivated, and if this has happened, do the following to reactivate it:

  1. Close any open Chrome windows.

  2. Right click the Google Chrome icon and select Properties.

  3. Select the Shortcut tab.

  4. In the Target field, remove -disable-javascript (including the leading dash) from the end of the path name.

  5. Press OK to save your changes and close the window.

  6. Finally, Refresh your browser, and ensure the JavaScript notification at the top of this window has turned green.
